Overview

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all systems and services are running efficiently and effectively. This role will lead a team of maintenance and custodial staff, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and ensure a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision:

    • Lead and manage the facility maintenance team, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and systems.
  • Maintenance Management:

    • Oversee routine and emergency maintenance tasks, ensuring timely repairs.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and practices.
    • Conduct safety training for staff and implement safety protocols.
  • Budget Management:

    • Assist in developing and managing the facility budget.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in operations.
  • Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inspections.
    • Prepare reports on facility performance metrics and maintenance costs.
  • Customer Service:

    • Address and resolve facility-related issues and requests from staff and management.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support their operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
